Feteasca Neagră 2020 is produced exclusively from carefully selected grapes harvested by hand from our estate vineyards. Following destemming and gentle crushing, the grapes undergo extended maceration and temperature-controlled fermentation to achieve optimal extraction of colour, aroma and tannin structure. After complete malolactic fermentation, the wine is matured for 20 months in French oak barrels with medium toast, where it develops remarkable complexity, depth and elegance. The result is a powerful yet refined expression of Moldova's most celebrated indigenous red variety
Tasting notes
Deep ruby-red in colour with subtle garnet reflections. The bouquet opens with intense aromas of black cherry, blackberry and ripe plum, intertwined with elegant notes of vanilla, cocoa, sweet spices and toasted oak. On the palate, the wine is rich, concentrated and beautifully structured, revealing layers of dark berries, mulberry, black pepper and dark chocolate. The 20 months of oak ageing contribute additional complexity and refinement, while the silky tannins lead to a long, velvety and persistent finish. Serve at 16–18°C. An excellent match for grilled beef, lamb, game dishes, mature cheeses and rich Mediterranean cuisine.
